Daegu-type artificial intelligence (AI) technology has taken the world by storm. Local companies participating in the world's largest industrial exhibition have demonstrated their world-class technological prowess, raising expectations for future cooperation with global companies.

Daegu City and Daegu Digital Innovation Promotion Agency (DIP) participated in the world's largest industrial exhibition, 'HANNOVER MESSE 2025', held in Hanover, Germany from the 31st of last month to the 4th of this month. Five consortiums selected for the AI solution development and verification project of the 'Manufacturing AI Convergence Foundation Creation Project' participated in this exhibition.

Daegu companies stood out in the global battleground of innovative technology. At this exhibition, Daegu companies laid the foundation for entering the global market by signing over 100 consultations worth 548,000 dollars and two MOUs. In particular, this exhibition attracted the attention of overseas companies and visitors by introducing a large number of AI-based solutions used in vision inspection, quality prediction, failure prediction, and supply chain management (SCM).

Computermate, a deep learning-based AI solution company, has released an AI platform for detecting irregular errors and optimizing production lines. It has conquered the global market by exhibiting various AI detection solutions such as quality prediction, optimal condition setting, and anomaly detection. MJ Vision Tech, a deep learning-based image solution company, has introduced an edge AI vision inspector based on an NPU (neural processing unit). The solution provides low-power, high-performance defect detection in an NPU environment. Its compact design with an integrated camera makes it easy to apply to the process line.

Jay Solution Co., Ltd. unveiled an AI solution for predicting equipment failures in industrial sites. This technology collects real-time data using smart sensor modules, and based on this, predicts equipment failures in advance through AI learning to provide operational efficiency in manufacturing sites. In addition, all Daegu companies participating in the exhibition, such as Oceanlight AI Co., Ltd., which introduced the Quantum Cube, a 3D stereoscopic image analysis solution based on multiple 2D visions, and Bluesys Co., Ltd., which presented an AI model for material classification and anomaly detection in the supply chain of automobile parts manufacturers, received great attention.

Ryu Dong-hyun, head of the ABB Industrial Division of Daegu City, said, “Through our participation in this Hannover Messe autonomous manufacturing industry exhibition, we have once again confirmed that there is no difference between the global technological level and the technological capabilities of local companies,” and added, “We will do our best to secure competitiveness in autonomous manufacturing.”
