MATE-Initial/In-process/Final Product Management System

Self-inspection management system

Overview

Product Overview

The MATE-Initial/In-process/Final Product Management System is a self-inspection management system. It samples and measures inspection items for initial, in-process and final products across key operations, then reviews, verifies, stores and analyses the results, securing data reliability and sustaining the quality system through defect analysis.

Initial/in-process/final management is part of self-inspection: at set intervals during production (initial, in-process, final), operators check the condition of the products they are making. In self-inspection, operators inspect the products made in their own process on their own initiative, checking defined items with designated gauges at defined times and recording the measured values.

Why

Why It’s Needed

  • Missing operator inspection records
  • Records entered all at once after the fact
  • Falling data reliability
  • Loss of handwritten records
  • Quality system cannot be sustained
  • ISO/TS/SQ certification out of reach
  • No way to prevent defects at the root
  • Inherent risk of lot-wide defects
  • Rising cost of defect-related losses
  • Timing of defects cannot be identified
  • Root causes of defects cannot be traced
  • Large-scale defects occur and escape to the customer

Features

Key Features

  • 01

    Better measurement entry

Measured values registered on handheld devices are transmitted to and stored in the system

  • 02

    Measurement history management

Monitoring screen for initial, in-process and final product management

  • 03

    Inspection status on demand

Check inspection progress at any time

Benefits

Benefits

  • Stronger basic quality

Improving how initial, in-process and final products are managed strengthens basic quality control

  • Statistical control

The database makes statistical process control (SPC) possible

  • Traceability

Storing measured values in a database secures traceability of quality history

  • No missed inspections

Real-time monitoring prevents missed inspections and enables rapid action on process defects

  • Large-scale defects prevented

Interlocks (alarm/stop) on missed inspections or abnormal measurements keep large-scale defects from escaping
